SSC CGL Cut Off 2016 Goes As High As 137 In Tier 1 Exam

SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2016: The Merit List for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I) is finally out. The SSC CGL Result 2016 has been announced for Tier 1 Examination on the official website (www.ssc.nic.in) today. The candidates who’ve appeared for SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination can check the exam result now.

The SSC CGL 2016 Exam for Tier 1 was conducted from 27 August to 11 September in an online Computer-based Test (CBT) format for numerous Group B, C and Gazetted Officers in various Departments by the Staff Selection Commission.

This year, SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination Tier 1 was held for almost 2 weeks, spread across examination dates from 27 August to 11 September 2016. The recruitment examination was conducted online for the very first time and a number of candidates were a bit tensed with the sudden introduction of a new exam pattern for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination Tier-I 2016.

The cut-off for candidates of unreserved categories came out to be 137 and 46,422 candidates have been shortlisted (from UR category) to appear for tier 2 exam.
As for OBC, the cut off is set at 125.50 by which, only 56,192 candidates qualified tier 1. Most number of candidates who qualified CGL tier 1 came from OBC category.
Cut-off for SC has been set at 114 and 24227 made it to tier 2.
Cut-off for ST category is 103 with 11352 candidates qualifying from the category.
The cut off for Ex-Servicemen candidates is 92 and 4965 have qualified.
Official data also reveals that approx. 14.82 lakh candidates had appeared and 1,49,319 have qualified the tier 1 exam to appear for tier 2 exam. Along side, 28,234 candidates have been declared qualified for Paper-III (Statistics) of Tier-2. Only applicants of Junior Statistical Officer (Grade-II)/Compiler posts have been considered for Paper-III.

45,293 qualified for Paper-IV (General Studies Finance & Economics) of Tier-2 exam and only applicants of Assistant Audit Officer posts have been considered for Paper-IV.

CGL 2016 tier 2 exam is scheduled to be conducted from November 30 to December 2, admit cards for which will be issued from November 20 (10 days before exam).
